Whataburger Taquito: Is This Taco Worth Its Measure of Salt?

Whataburger has to be the most loved fast food restaurant in Texas. I have out of state friends who pine for just one taste. But, Whataburger is a burger and fries place, not a taco place. Nonetheless, breakfast taquitos are on the menu. I've eaten them many times before when in a hurry, but they are definitely not a "go to" place for them. For this review, I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese taquito.
The tortilla was average but stayed together. It had several strips of bacon that were well cooked and not greasy. The salsa was really good and came packaged just like their ketchup.
I did have two complaints. These have been recurring problems with these taquitos in the past. First, they were very drippy and wet. I'm not sure if it's from runny eggs or from runny cheese or what. It often leaves a puddle in the bottom of the paper wrapper. Second, they are usually over salted. It can be a bit much, especially if you like to go easy on the sodium. I would recommend ordering it "the way you like it"....sans sel.

Although not the best fast food taco choice, it's certainly not the worst.
